Why should we drink more water?
Dehydration is difficult for the body to cope with.
Over the course of every 24 hours we lose 3 litres of fluid – these 3 litres are accounted for through
· Exhalation
· hands and feet sweating
· urination

That's a great article Adrienne, i would like just to add that Athletes have a greater need for water then a normal person, for example in football during a 90 minutes match players can loose as much as 6 pound of fluids, during my time at Bohemians FC we always made sure players drunk 1 pint of water before the game 250cl at half time and 1 more pint after the game and at any break during a match we would incourage players to come to the side line for a sip of water.
