Sport and Deep tissue massage can reduce muscle pain:
muscle that are in spasm are painful to touch because of lack of blood flow (ischemia), lack of blood flow also means lack of oxygen which can cause production of lactic acid which means muscle soreness.
After massage the muscles will be more relaxed, blood rush through the fibres bringing oxygen and allowing lactic acid to dissipate getting rid of pain
