Myo-fascial trigger points are described as hyper-irritable points.

The Myo-fascia is made up by the muscles and their connective tissue.

-Trigger Point are found in a tout band
-They have a referred pain
-They have a twitch response

Trigger Point can be easily misdiagnosed because they mimic other syndromes

They can appear anywhere in the body

They are symptomatic of chronic injuries but they can manifest in acute injuries as well

Fibro-myalgia is diagnosed when 18 specific trigger points located in 2 bilateral locations are tender on palpation ( inflamed ).

Base of the neck, trapezius, supraspinatus, 2nd rib chest area, elbows, gluteos, great throcanter, knees.

A lot of controversy of late started with the fact that too easily people are diagnosed with fibromyalgia ones the conventional medicine fell to cure a particularly difficult case, in the old days they used to say " it is all in your head "
now they say " you have Fibro-myalgia ".
