What is Equine Massage ?

Massage and /or Neuromuscular Therapy is the manipulation of soft tissue to achieve specific goals of drainage, relaxation or stimulation and to release and reduce muscle-related problems such as trigger points and stress points. The healing function of massage therapy accelerates recovery from injury and it contributes to the overall economy of the body and to its ability to function efficiently and healthfully.

Horses are like athletes and they are expected to perform at their maximum potential - to run faster, jump higher and to execute technically difficult maneuvers. equitation, hunter/jumpers, dressage – all impose their own physical demands upon horses, such demands ultimately result in pain, injury and behavior issues in our prematurely worn-out horses.
